Australian Celtic Festival 2011 Featuring Champion Irish & Highland Dancers

The Australian Celtic Festival is held in Glen Innes "Celtic Country" on the first weekend in May annually. Representing Canada, Shawn Silver will join Karen Simpson and Cape Byron Irish Dancers and World Champion Highland Dancer Dougie MacFarland for among other special guests for what is the country's most exciting Celtic Festival. The Finale will be truly excitng. Shawn Silver and Douglas McFarland, of Down Under the Kilt (Highland Dancing) will perform “duelling dancers”. Come along and be thoroughly entertained by these two exciting and energetic & accomplished dancers.

Arts Infusion and ArtSmarts Programs in Newfoundland Labrador

ArtSmarts and Arts Infusion programs were taught at St. John Bosco, Ecole Goulds Elementary and Brother Rice. The goal of the program is to share traditional culture with school kids ranging from grade 2 to grade 8 as part of the curriculum. We're proud to say this our 17th program to date, and countless young people have become more aware of their own culture, themselves and have learned it in a high energy, non competitive enviromnent. Students are now more prepared than ever to pursue careers as touring artists and professional dancers thanks to the support Of NLAC and ESDNL.

Choral Connections May 5th-9th
